Sappy day, my baby is FOUR!!
May 12, 2008 by Heather Leggett
How on earth does it go by so quickly? I cannot believe it’s been four years since I had my youngest baby. I have to share a little of her birth story because it just makes it that more special. When I was in labor with Jaden I had a placental abruption and we almost lost her, and me. It was a very scary experience for all of us and she ended up needing to be on oxygen for the first 26 hours. But after that she was perfectly healthy with no ill affects. It just makes me that much more thankful for my little girl. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about how close we came to losing her and how truly grateful I am that she is with us today. I know it could have easily gone the other way. 30 minutes was all that seperated us from tragedy, 30 minutes. Scary. Anyway, sorry to get all sappy. Here’s a few pictures.
Her very first picture. I wasn’t able to hold her or see her more than a couple seconds as they wisked her away to the nursery to get her on oxygen. I had to wait two hours until I could hold her because I was numb from the chest down. So the nurses were kind enough to take a few polaroids of my baby girl so I could hold them and look at her while I waited to be able to hold her and see her in person. This is one of the polaroids.
One of my favorites. She finally got to come be in my room, still on a portable monitor to make sure her oxygen saturation stayed up.

2 yrs old, right after her first haircut

A little over 2 yrs old, her first ballet lessons

3 yrs old, camping last summer

And I will share some 4 yr old pics after I take some today!!

Happy Birthday Jaden! You’ve done a great job at capturing her over the years!
aw, super sweet… Happy bday Jaden!!!!
